pt. 2: is excited to present Little Rose a solo exhibition by Nadair Asghari. The body of work is a playful arrangement of archetypal figures set in an idyllic landscape, with an emphasis on romantic love. The paintings were inspired by the writing of William Blake, Joseph Cambell, and Marija Gimbutas, and are intended to be humorous yet earnest depictions of enchanted states.
Nadair Asghari was raised in Concord, CA and currently lives Oakland. His practice is multidisciplinary, ranging from tattoo work to furniture design but with a sustaining focus on painting. His work has been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, and throughout the Bay Area.
