pt.2 would like to thank the hundreds of people that made it out this past Saturday for the opening receptions of our three solo exhibitions “Zero Player Game” by Brett Flanigan, “Not Long For This World” by Meryl Pataky, and “Transfr” by Alexandre Bavard that is curated Pablo de Pinho. Press Release - Zero Player Game by Brett Flanigan

pt. 2 Gallery is pleased to present Zero Player Game, a solo exhibition of paintings by Oakland-based artist Brett Flanigan. The exhibition title is a reference to the mathematician John Horton Conway’s Game of Life, a 1970 mathematical simulation where, given an initial state and a set of simple rules, a black and white grid evolves endlessly in ways that are seemingly organic and operate on similar principles as life itself.
